| Karma and Reciprocity As we look deeper into the cause and effect relationship of karma, we will see more clearly the reasons why the events of our lives unfold as they do. The universe is quite accommodating to us and responds back to us as we respond to it. If you are motivated to be affluent, what do you spend your time thinking about? Making money. Right? Since our thoughts are the genesis of our actions, guess what our actions tend to be centered around? Yes, that is correct, making money. Since that is what we transmit to the universe, it provides a reciprocal response to help you earn more money. So now you've got what you want, more money. The problem is that is the center of all of your activity. So now you wonder why you are not happy, content and involved in a committed loving relationship. Notice how a magnet works. A force is transmitted from the magnet that attracts similar energy types. If two magnets are place juxtaposition, they will immediately lock onto each other with binding force greater than the individual forces of each magnet. This is how the universal law of karma interacts with you. You get what you ask for. As Wayne Dyer says, you get what you "really, really, really, really" want. The bad news is you also get what you "really, really, really, really" don't want as well. So if you want love, you get love. If you want wealth, you get wealth. If you don't want bad health, you get bad health. If you don't want a bad relationship, you'll have a bad relationship. Where you put your attention is what will manifest in your life. The law of karma provides the results. What is important is to chase the results that are good for us. Chasing affluence means that is where are time will be spent. Seeking peace and enlightenment means that is what will come back to us. We are in control of our destiny. |
